They may bounce up and down for short periods of time as we work on the bulletin board, but they should be fine otherwise. The AHWiki survived this issue with no losses or damage. As it depends on the bulletin board user database for logging in, we cannot bring it online until the bulletin board is repaired. May 27, 2008 HiTech Creations News: Bulletin Board, AHWiki, Score Pages update It's become apparent to us that the damage to the BBS is too extensive to be fixed through normal means. We have decided that we need to roll the board back to a previous backup from the beginning of May. We will then try to append all posts that have been made since that time(the beginning of May) and are recoverable but we can make no assurances as to whether that operation will be successful. Our best estimate on how long this will take is anywhere from one day to a week, starting this afternoon. May 22, 2008 HiTech Creations News: Bulletin Board, AHWiki, Score Pages update We had hoped all this would be up and running today, but it does not appear that is going to happen. The problem, which initially caused this, was due to a file system being damaged when the server was inadvertnetly powered off during an upgrade to our back-up power supplies. Restoring databases and revuilding indexes is time comsuming due to the size of our bulletin board. We appreciate everyone's patience and we will continue to work to get everything back online as soon as possible. We expect to have this resolved by Friday of this week. May 21, 2008 HiTech Creations News: Bulletin Board, AHWiki, Score Pages will be down The bulletin board,, AHWiki, and score pages will all be down until sometime in the afternoon of May 22, 2008, for maintenance. May 5, 2008 Hitech Creations introduces AHWiki Today we are happy to announce the opening of a new wiki, a community driven collaborative encyclopedia, called AHWiki. AHWiki is an information source for all that is Aces High, plus many related subjects like aviation and military history, and everything inbetween. Getting started is as simple as logging in, using your Aces High II bulletin board ID and password (your game ID and password will not work!). If you just want to browse and read, then you do not need to log in. Logging in allows you to edit and add content to AHWiki. We are excited about the possibilites this tool brings to our information exchange base and look forward to it growing. To find AHWiki, look in the "Community" menu listing above. As a reminder, if you are running a software firewall, and cannot connect after the patch is installed, you need to re-allow the game back through your firewall. If you are running Windows Vista, you may need to manually download and install the update or run the game as an administrator (right-click on the Aces High II start up ICON for this menu option) for the game auto-updater to work properly. We expect this to not take any longer than a couple of hours. At one point during the upgrade cycle, all arenas will have to be reset. During the upgrade period, game scores, via the WEB site, may not be available. The effected arenas will have an MOTD posted in them with more details. January 31, 2008 Aces High II: Service News There appears to be a major internet outage in Level3's backbone, in the Dallas area, which will impact the ability of some players to connect to the game servers and will impact people who are trying to download the game. We do not have any more information, at this time, as to the nature of the outage or how long it will last. We apologize for the inconvenience if you are affected by this.
